Users can download and run the Gigatrees applications free of charge and share them with others. A one-time non-refundable subscription fee may be required to access some of the application's services. In order for a subscriber to access these services at runtime, their application id must be verified by the Gigatrees server (http://gigatrees.com). The Gigatrees server must therefore be online and available at all times. In those rare cases where the Gigatrees server goes offline for a period, the downtime will be added to subscribers' plan expiration dates (if any) at the end of each month.
This license agreement supercedes that found in the

Gigatrees may collect anonymous data during processing. None of the information collected is personally identifiable and will only be shared in aggregate form in statistical tables and charts.
The Send Error Reports option allows Gigatrees to report information about critical failures such as crash dumps and processing errors. This information is necessary for troubleshooting application errors that occur when installed.
The Send Anonymous Stats option allows Gigatrees to report other types of anonymous data such as performance data. This information is used in development to optimize future releases. Aggregated GEDCOM tag counts are also collected and are used to discover when new record fields come into use and which record fields are most commonly used. Information on the GEDCOM file itself, such as its GEDCOM version and revision, encoding and character sets, and exporting application are also collected in order to provide better support for versions and vendors. Configuration and feature usage data is also collected in order to understand how the application is being used so that development can procede in the most effective manner.
The identity and email addresses of users and subscribers are not shared with anyone, nor does Gigatrees send emails to the list. Users who post in the comments or discussions areas understand that their name will be shown.
